About AMS-IX Lagos
AMS-IX Lagos is a customer-model exchange, with AMS-IX running technical operations and Equinix-owned MDXi as commercial partner, on the LG1 and LG2 buildings at the Lekki campus in Lagos. Relaunched on 17 April 2023 by migrating 25+ networks from the WAF-IX community, it now connects 52 networks (Aug 2026) at a 403 Gbps peak (Aug 2026), the busiest of AMS-IX's international exchanges. Starlink and Orange Côte d'Ivoire each run 300G, Meta 300G combined, and Amazon and ByteDance 100G. Pricing is published in dollars: $350/mo for 1GE, $600/mo for 10GE and $2,500/mo for 100GE, with sub-1GE via resellers. 2 BIRD2 route servers (AS37783) filter on IRR and RPKI, rejecting invalids. Joining takes an application, a cross-connect and a port; remote access via colocation transport partners serves networks without a Lekki footprint.
