About Harare IX

Harare IX is Zimbabwe's Harare exchange, constituted as an association and established on 7 November 2017. It runs a single point of presence on one stacked Cisco switch. Its own member export lists thirteen networks on the fabric, including two route servers and a route collector, against a registry entry frozen since January 2020 that shows only two — both of them AFRINIC DNS services. Member ports run at 1 Gbps and the route servers at 2 Gbps. The peering LAN is AFRINIC-assigned, 196.60.44.0/24 with 2001:43f8:310::/64, dual-stack at an MTU of 1500, and two route servers run under AS37355.
