About LUBIX
LUBIX opened on 6 November 2019 as the second exchange in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, built by the country's internet service provider association with the Internet Society and with equipment and training from Facebook, to keep Lubumbashi's traffic from being exchanged abroad. 12 networks connect over 14 ports. Meta holds the largest connection at 200G, and all four national operators are present — Airtel DRC and Vodacom Congo at 10G, Vodacom on two ports, with Orange RDC and Africell RDC alongside them. Packet Clearing House sits on the fabric under both its autonomous systems. Route servers run on AS37785 and the LAN is 196.60.64.0/24, IPv4 only.
