The scheme runs to 243,000 sq ft and 6 MW of IT load - about twelve times the floor area of STT Kolkata 1, the 20,000 sq ft, 3 MW building at VSB Ultadanga that has carried the operator's Kolkata traffic so far. New Town is described as coming soon, with no opening date attached. The developer is the ST Telemedia joint venture that took over Tata Communications' Indian data centre estate on 19 October 2016.
