STT Navi Mumbai 2 is one of four data centres STT GDC India has under development on MIDC industrial land at Mahape, in Navi Mumbai across the harbour from Mumbai city. It is planned at 49 MW of IT load, the largest of the four; the others are set at 28 MW, 42 MW and 36 MW, and no floor area has been disclosed for any of them. The operator counts the cluster under Mumbai rather than as a city in its own right, alongside three larger halls at Palava rated 50 MW, 60.5 MW and 60.5 MW. Behind it sits the joint venture formed on 19 October 2016, when Tata Communications' Indian data centre estate passed to ST Telemedia.
