About BVIX

BVIX is the national internet exchange of the British Virgin Islands, serving Road Town on Tortola, and describes itself as not-for-profit, neutral and independent. Eight networks hold nine connections, of which seven are operational, and every connected network carries IPv6. Packet Clearing House holds the two largest ports at 10G under each of its autonomous systems; CWDOM, MCNET Solutions and the exchange's own services network are at 1G, and two CentralNic anycast DNS nodes are registered but not currently operational. Two redundant route servers run under AS393430, supporting IPv4, IPv6 and both 16-bit and 32-bit autonomous system numbers, and the operator explains that peering with them establishes peering with every other participant connected to them.
