Estacion Terrena Bosque Alegre has worked as a satellite teleport since 1983, when it opened as Argentina's second earth station to relieve the overloaded Balcarce site. It sits on provincial route RP E-96, roughly 60 km south-west of Cordoba city near Alta Gracia, and carries more than 20 parabolic antennas working the Intelsat and Landsat networks. A Globalstar gateway of five high-capacity dishes handles fixed, cellular and satellite telephony for Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay, and the station also links the ARSAT-1 and ARSAT-2 spacecraft and the SES fleet. Data centre functions support the teleport.
