Ark Data Centres – Spring Park DC6
Westwells Rd, Corsham, SN139GB, GB
Spring Park is 38 acres of former Ministry of Defence land on Westwells Road in Corsham, next to the Corsham Computer Centre, and Ark has six purpose-built buildings there - SQ17, P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5 - holding 27 data centres and between 10,000 and 13,000 rack positions. P5 arrived in two consents: P5 North, permitted in April 2021 at 13,000 sqm, and P5 South at 6,020 sqm over three floors under Wiltshire planning reference PL202201975. Seven networks are recorded on the campus and no internet exchange; what Ark sells instead is route diversity, citing sixteen fibre providers into the site. Ark Data Centres Limited, company number 05656968, has traded since 2005 and is majority-owned by Elliott Investment Management with Revcap holding a minority, while the Cabinet Office relationship runs through Crown Hosting Data Centres, a separate joint venture that took a GBP 250 million contract in 2022. Two Uptime Institute M&O Stamps of Approval were issued for Spring Park in April 2017 and both lapsed in 2019.
