Echelon LCY20
Chiltern Asheridge Road, Great Hivings, Chesham, HP5 2PY, GB
Chesham, in Buckinghamshire, is about 40 km north-west of the London Docklands where Echelon Data Centres built its first UK asset, and LCY20 is the second. The scheme is a two-storey building of roughly 9,000 m2 - about 97,000 sq ft - laid out as six data halls behind 30 MW. Echelon announced it in October 2021 with an affiliate of Starwood Capital Group, which came in as capital partner under a $250m agreement to acquire and construct the site jointly rather than to forward-fund it; power was already installed on the site when that announcement was made, and delivery was then targeted for late 2022. Behind the project sit corporate figures of 700 MW in development and more than 1.4 GW of secured capacity across five development regions. Echelon has published nothing further about the building since.
