About Equinix Mumbai

Equinix Mumbai is the platform's own exchange in the former GPX buildings, MB1 and MB2, launched in 2023 as a fabric distinct from the AMS-IX partnership operating on the same campus. Membership skews hyperscale: 25 networks (Aug 2026), with Meta, Fastly and Equinix Metal each holding 2x100G, while Equinix has yet to land the Indian carrier long tail. Ports run 1G to 100G, and IRR plus RPKI filtering applies on the MLPE route servers (AS24115). For tenants of MB1 or MB2 the port is a Customer Portal order away, with colocation in a metro IBX required and the cross-connect included.
