Busan Metropolitan City and Microsoft cut the ribbon on this building at Gurang-dong in Gangseo-gu on 23 September 2024, four years after the first Microsoft datacentre opened in the same Miumsandan industrial complex in April 2020. Commissioning records give it a gross floor area of 35,312 m2. Hyundai E&C built it to a masterplan drawn by dmp partners in 2021, with HanmiGlobal managing the project. The two Busan buildings are reported at 85 MW between them, and a third and much larger facility is planned at 125 MW and a cost above 2 trillion won, with construction from October 2026 - the start, in the city's telling, of a cluster meant to reach 400 MW. Per-building capacity, land area and water consumption remain undisclosed.
