The SK AI Data Center Ulsan is going up inside the Ulsan Mipo National Industrial Complex on South Korea's south-eastern coast, on a site of about 66,000 m², or 20,000 pyeong. SK Telecom and SK Ecoplant are building and will own it, with Amazon Web Services as co-investor and anchor and Ulsan Metropolitan City as a project party. The announced first phase is 103 MW carrying 60,000 GPUs, in operation from 2027, against a stated roadmap towards a gigawatt; the combined SK and AWS commitment is put at around 7 trillion won. The building will rise five storeys. A launch ceremony was held at the Ulsan Exhibition and Convention Center on 20 June 2025, ground was broken on 29 August 2025, and construction was still in its earliest stage at the end of October 2025. It is billed as the largest AI data centre outside the Seoul capital region, and the project plan contemplates future supply from floating offshore wind.
