Denmark's environmental register carries this site under a plant name that most directories treat as a marketing code: Microsoft 3366 Danmark ApS (CPH03), Egedesvej 17 in Køge, licensed on 6 September 2022. The approval covers three data halls of 4,314 m2 each and an administration building of about 1,350 m2, on ground zoned under Lokalplan 1084 for the third Skandinavisk Transport Center. Standby generation is the part of the plant the permit itemises: thirteen diesel sets, 3 MW of output apiece and 90.8 MW of fired input in total, with a further application lodged in April 2025 to store 1.3 million litres of fuel. The cooling design consumes no water at all, which did not spare the site seven monitoring boreholes for groundwater sampling as a condition of approval. Køge went live with the Denmark East region on 26 March 2026 alongside Høje Taastrup and Roskilde, and Exyte began excavating the second phase on 9 March 2026 for completion in April 2028. Waste-heat recovery into the district network is a Høje Taastrup feature; at Køge it remains a future expansion. IT capacity has never been disclosed.
