Twenty-one hectares between Lappersintie, Kittfallintie and Olavintie, in the Virkkala district of Lohja in Uusimaa, are the ground for a Hyperco data centre. Lohja's planning board granted the developer a reservation on 2 November 2022 and its committee approved the detailed zoning plan on 26 September 2024; the land is to be bought from the city at an independently assessed price within a year of that plan becoming legally binding. Waste heat is intended for the district heating network run by Lohjan Energiahuolto. Hyperco Oy, registered in Helsinki in September 2020, belongs to DAMAC Digital, the data centre arm of the Dubai group DAMAC. Neither a floor area nor a capacity has been published.
