Epigmenio Gonzalez 2, in Colonia Claustros del Parque on the northern edge of Santiago de Queretaro, holds 8,400 m2 of purpose-built server rooms inside a reinforced-concrete shell. Triara.com, S.A. de C.V., the data-centre arm of TELMEX and so of America Movil, opened it on 11 June 2012 after an investment above US$160 million, and Telmex still lands its managed hosting customers here. The electrical position is the unusual part: 37.5 MW of on-site generation, more than 5,700 tons of installed cooling and 436 cameras covering the site. Seven carrier networks reach the floor, and peering runs over transport rather than a cross-connect, since no exchange fabric terminates at the address. EdgeUno places its Queretaro point of presence inside the same building. Telmex publishes an ICREA Level 5 HSHA-WCQA classification for the site - a Latin American availability scheme separate from both Uptime Tier and ANSI/TIA-942 - alongside group-level ISO and PCI-DSS claims that name no certificate.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns Triara Queretaro?
Triara.com, S.A. de C.V., a subsidiary of Telefonos de Mexico and so of America Movil. Triara is TELMEX's own data-centre business rather than a separate landlord.
How much of the Queretaro network fabric sits on the Triara floor?
Seven carrier networks reach the floor, with no exchange fabric terminating at the address. EdgeUno operates its Queretaro point of presence here, so its local capacity sits inside this building.
What certification does Triara Queretaro hold?
Telmex publishes an ICREA Level 5 HSHA-WCQA classification for it. ICREA is a Latin American availability scheme, not the same award as an Uptime Institute Tier or an ANSI/TIA-942 rating, and neither of those has been issued for this site.
How much power and cooling does the Queretaro building carry?
37.5 MW of on-site generation and more than 5,700 tons of cooling, both disclosed at the 2012 inauguration. IT load has never been published separately.
