Compass announced the land purchase on 5 May 2020, its second Canadian market after Montreal, with $100m committed to the first phase; the first 10 MW was finished in the third quarter of that year and the building is designed for 30 MW of critical IT load. The City of Toronto approved it under site plan file 21 210103 WET 07 SA, with a further application posted in February 2023 covering additional generators and an easement relocation. Ehvert is architect and engineer of record, and the structure runs to two storeys at 13.41 m. Compass publishes no site code for Toronto.
