Summit Ridge Data Center
within 55 min south of SLC, Santaquin, UT, 84655, US
An off-grid data centre is approved but unbuilt at 15372 S Ridge Farms Road in Santaquin, Utah, roughly 60 miles south of Salt Lake City. The developer is the Data Center Power Company, which builds islanded sites generating their own electricity behind the meter; every megawatt here is to come from natural gas engines on the site, so Rocky Mountain Power is not the serving utility and no grid interconnection is in play. The scheme is rated at more than 20 MW and cooled by a closed loop. Santaquin approved it in 2024 and its Development Review Committee cleared the site plan on 8 July with conditions covering fire-flow and pressure upgrades to the water system, plus an exception allowing a 40-foot drive approach. Eleven public meetings have been held, the most recent on 6 January 2026, and no construction start date has been set.
