Volico FLL1 at 500 Green Road in Pompano Beach is a 20,000 sq ft colocation floor with 2 MW of utility and 2 MW of generator power, on a site the company plans to take to 140,000 sq ft and 48 MW. Volico opened it on 4 April 2014 as a 12,000 sq ft first phase outside the 500-year FEMA floodplain. Power runs on 2N+X smart-grid UPS and 2N+X paralleled generators, and cooling on 600 tons of Liebert 2N CRAC plant with 3,600 tons planned. The slab carries 225 lb per sq ft and the floor is sold at 300 W per sq ft, with 600 W per sq ft as the ceiling. Three networks and one exchange are on site in a carrier-neutral meet-me room with multi-homed BGP transit. Quarter, half and full cabinets, private cages and suites are available, served by two 4,500-lb freight elevators and 40,000 sq ft of roof access.
