About Pacific Wave

Pacific Wave is run jointly by two non-profit research and education network organisations, CENIC in California and the Pacific Northwest Gigapop, and it is where trans-Pacific research networks land on the US west coast — AARNet, REANNZ, SINET6, KREONET and CSTNET among the participants, alongside Amazon, Google and Microsoft. 23 participants connect. A 10G port is USD 1,000 a month or USD 12,000 a year, 100G is USD 4,000 or USD 48,000, and 400G is quoted on request. The fabric runs from Seattle to Los Angeles with further nodes in Sunnyvale, San Jose, Albuquerque, Denver, El Paso and Tokyo.
