About BY-IX

BY-IX is Belarus's national traffic exchange point, run from Minsk by the state National Centre for Traffic Exchange, which also sells transit, telephony, colocation and cybersecurity services. The published monthly rate card, in Belarusian roubles and excluding VAT, runs 100 BYN for a 1 Gbit/s port and 90 for each additional, 400 BYN at 10 Gbit/s and 350 additional, and 1,800 BYN at 100 Gbit/s and 1,600 additional. Access is gated on holding a Belarusian communications licence, so the participant base is domestic licensed operators. The operator states more than 70 participants; seven ports totalling 16 Gbps are independently registered. The platform runs a 9000-byte payload MTU.
