Meta Hyperion – Building 4
LA-183 & Wade Rd, Rayville, LA, 71269, US
Hyperion is Meta's Richland Parish project, a campus near Rayville in north-east Louisiana that the company calls its largest data centre anywhere and the home of its biggest AI training cluster. Building 4 is one of nine planned, phased through 2030; ground was broken in 2024 and nothing on the campus is yet in service. The build was announced on 4 December 2024 at $10 billion and expanded by a further $50 billion, taking the programme to close to 10 million sq ft and 5 GW of IT capacity, up from the roughly 2 GW first disclosed. Entergy Louisiana is the serving utility, named when the project went public in December 2024, and its March 2026 agreement with Meta carries the larger figure. Meta has named The Nature Conservancy, America's Watershed Initiative and LimnoTech as partners on watershed restoration around the site. The buildings are Meta's own and are not offered to third parties.
