About IXP-HN

IXP-HN is Honduras's national traffic exchange point, a project driven by CONATEL, the national telecommunications commission. The operator frames it as keeping domestically destined traffic inside the country, arguing it will contribute to economic and social progress through more efficient use of data transport networks, reducing latency and raising effective broadband speeds, and it is open to internet and network access operators and other interested national and international parties. Four ports connect at 1G: the state incumbent HONDUTEL and Reytel, both on selective policies, and both of Packet Clearing House's anycast autonomous systems. The peering LAN is 181.210.17.0/24 and IPv6 is not deployed.
