About MARIIX

Guam's exchange was created in April 2018 by the University of Guam with the Network Startup Resource Center, which donated the hardware, and the university's IT office still operates it from its own data centre in Mangilao. 10 networks connect — GTA Teleguam, DoCoMo Pacific, IT&E and PDS alongside Hurricane Electric, Cloudflare and OneQode. There is no membership, port or recurring fee of any kind, and members supply their own optics. A member needs a public ASN, registered address space, its own independent transit and a BGP4-capable router, and may take at most two physical connections.
