Neustar's security division was separated and rebranded Vercara in April 2023, and DigiCert completed its purchase of Vercara in September 2024. The service is still sold as UltraDNS on DigiCert's own pages, now paired with a second and deliberately separate anycast network marketed for continuity. The system dates to 1999 and its prefixes are almost entirely anycast service addresses.
