Init7 (AS13030) is a small Swiss operator that behaves like a considerably larger one. Its residential service, Fiber7, sells 25 gigabit symmetric fibre for a figure in the mid-sixties of Swiss francs a month, which has no real equivalent anywhere, and it runs an open interconnection policy with no ratio or contract requirement, several hundred peers, and IPv6 configured on every exchange port it holds.

Its other distinction is that it litigates, and wins. Init7 complained to the Swiss competition authority in 2020 over Swisscom's move to a point-to-multipoint fibre topology that would have foreclosed competing providers, obtained an injunction that December, had it confirmed permanently by the Federal Supreme Court in 2022, and in April 2024 the authority fined Swisscom 18.4 million francs and ordered the non-compliant connections converted. It is not transit-free, buying upstream from Arelion, Deutsche Telekom and a Swiss carrier, so its weight in a building comes from the breadth of its peering and a customer cone of a couple of hundred networks rather than from raw scale.
