GTT Communications (AS3257) operates a global IP backbone across more than 400 points of presence, serving customers in over 170 countries with roughly 300 Tbps of IP edge capacity. GTT sold its terrestrial and subsea fibre division in 2022 and now runs AS3257 as a routing layer over leased capacity, selling IP transit, dedicated Internet access, Ethernet and E-LAN, MPLS IP VPN, cloud connect, managed SD-WAN, SASE security and DDoS scrubbing.
That model puts AS3257 into a broad set of carrier-neutral facilities without tying it to any single fibre route, which is useful when the requirement is presence in a specific building rather than a specific path. Customer ports run from 100 Mbps to 100 Gbps on Fast Ethernet through 100GbE, with committed and burstable billing, native dual-stack IPv6 at no extra charge, link aggregation, city-level BGP communities and remote-triggered blackholing. It fits distributed enterprises that want Internet access, wide-area networking and security on one contract across many colocation sites.
