About CV-IXP
CV-IXP describes itself as Cabo Verde's first public internet exchange, based in Praia on the island of Santiago, and it is the only exchange the association operates. Five networks hold six connections carrying 23 Gbps: CV Telecom, the incumbent fixed operator, at 1G; NOSi, the state information society body, at 1G; UNITEL T Telecomunicações at 1G; and Banco Caboverdiano de Negócios at 100M — a commercial bank on the fabric alongside the carriers. Route servers run under AS37796 on two 10G connections, and the association holds a separate management autonomous system. The peering LAN is 196.60.112.0/24 with 2001:43f8:16c0::/64 and IPv6 capability runs at about 33%. Service is offered best effort with no SLA.
