About DANIX

DANIX is Dominica's national exchange, founded as a formal joint venture between three local providers and the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission. It became operational in November 2012, was formally launched on 28 February 2013, and the operating company was incorporated under Dominica's Companies Act in September 2013. The directors and member organisations are FLOW, Marpin 2k4, DigicelPlay and the regulator itself — both fixed incumbents, the cable operator and the regulator on one fabric. The switch is housed at the regulator's headquarters in Roseau rather than in a commercial carrier hotel. Packet Clearing House holds two 10G anycast ports, so root-adjacent and authoritative DNS resolves locally.
