NIXA is Afghanistan's national exchange in Kabul, presented by the Ministry of Communication and IT and described in its own policy as run by the country's ISP association with government observers. 16 networks connect over 17 ports on 103.104.146.0/24, two of them at 10G and the rest at 1G, with Packet Clearing House present under both of its autonomous systems. Getting connected
Members establish BGP sessions across the exchange and advertise their customer routes. On the exchange-facing interface a member must disable proxy ARP, ICMP redirects, CDP, IRDP and spanning tree, and must supply an autonomous system number, an internationally dialable voice number and a NOC role account, and subscribe to the announcement mailing list.
