About TIX Tanzania – Mwanza
MIXP is the Mwanza chapter of the Tanzanian exchange family, created cooperatively between the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority and TISPA to give networks in Mwanza a neutral peering point. The operator advertises direct access to more than 100 provider network ports across six regions of the country. Five networks connect, all on 1G ports for 5 Gbps, with about 40% carrying IPv6. The peering LAN is 196.60.0.0/24 and 2001:43f8:0:200::/64 from AFRINIC exchange assignment space, at a payload MTU of 9000, against the 1500-byte default used at the association's other chapters.
