About TunIXP
TunIXP is Tunisia's national exchange in Tunis, operated by the Agence Tunisienne d'Internet, the state internet agency that has been a provider and host for more than 26 years. The agency's own account of its history states that it has acted as an exchange since its creation in 1996 but was never officially declared as one, and that under the authoritarian regime it was obliged to act as a censorship and surveillance machine, with every Tunisian provider required by the ICT ministry to route traffic through its platform. Four networks connect on 41.231.21.0/24 with 2001:4350:3000::/64, among them Packet Clearing House under both of its autonomous systems.
