About WPGIX

WPG-IX is a not-for-profit neutral layer-2 exchange serving Winnipeg and Manitoba, with two published locations: the Manitoba Hydro Telecom data centre on Portage Avenue and the Global Service Centre on Lombard Avenue. A redundant pair of route servers is deliberately split across the two buildings, and they carry IPv4, IPv6 and both two-byte and four-byte AS numbers. The operator's members page lists 25 configured networks including Hurricane Electric, and Packet Clearing House appears twice, once for each of the two ASNs it peers with. An E-root DNS instance and AS112 service run for members alongside Google. Ports are 100M copper, 1GE, 10GE and 40GE.
