BER02 is going up on Berliner Strasse at Nauen, in Brandenburg west of Berlin, with construction starting in the first quarter of 2026 and first operation targeted for the first quarter of 2028. Declared IT capacity is 144 to 186 MW across 12,000 to 41,184 m2 of technical floor, the range depending on which cooling solution is selected, and the design target for PUE is 1.2 or better, with supply drawn from regional wind and solar parks. A first Brandenburg building, BER01, is already operational: single-tenant, 9 MW of IT capacity over 5,100 m2 in twelve IT rooms, exporting waste heat into the neighbouring GoWest area. On certifications, everything named for BER02 - LEED Gold, EMAS, the ISO 9001, 14001, 50001 and 27001 family, ISAE 3402 and EN 50600 conformity - is at planning stage. BER01's own attestation, meanwhile, is a TUViT Trusted Site Infrastructure availability class, a German scheme distinct from an Uptime Institute Tier.
