HKCOLO Carrier Colocation Centre
Sino Favour Centre, 1 On Yip St, Hong Kong, 00000, HK
Five non-contiguous floors of a working industrial block is an unusual shape for a carrier hotel, and it is what HKCOLO has occupied since the company was founded in 1999. The Carrier Colocation Centre takes 4/F, 8/F, 12/F, 21/F and 23/F of Sino Favour Centre at 1 On Yip Street, Chai Wan, at the eastern end of Hong Kong Island - roughly 40,000 sq ft in total, with the lowest of those floors rated to 1,500 kg per square metre and the three highest to 750. Cabinets are 42U as standard and 45U on special order, provisioned at 2 kVA over ten 13 A sockets on 220 V, with a 48 V DC rectifier feed available instead. Generators back the whole electrical load, on four-hour and eight-hour diesel tanks. Sixteen networks are recorded on site and the single exchange present is NetIX.
