Datacom@AirTrunk Melbourne
176 Swann Dr, Derrimut, VIC, 3026, AU
Datacom sells colocation out of leased data halls inside AirTrunk's MEL1 building at 176 Swann Drive, Derrimut, about 20 km west of central Melbourne. AirTrunk Operating Pty Ltd owns and runs the building, which carries 92 MW of facility capacity - a landlord figure rather than the size of Datacom's footprint, which is unpublished. Blackstone, with CPP Investments, completed its acquisition of AirTrunk across 2024 and 2025, and AirTrunk has since bought a second Melbourne site for a 354 MW campus. Carrier choice is the reason to take space here rather than the building's own interconnection: a single network is registered at the facility and no exchange, while Datacom offers Telstra, Optus, Aussie Broadband, TPG, Vocus, Luminet, NextHop, Xenith IG, FibreconX, Fibrepath and Megaport into its halls. Datacom states ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2 and PCI DSS for the service; those certify the operator's practices rather than the building.
