Imopolis I is the older of two NOS data centres in the Imopolis business park at Carnaxide, in the Oeiras municipality immediately west of Lisbon. It entered service around the turn of the millennium: when NOS opened Imopolis II beside it on 12 February 2018, the company put the age of the existing hall at eighteen years. That newer building shows what the operator now builds to - 1,000 m2 in all, 410 m2 of technical floor extendable to 630 m2, up to 2 MW of load, N+1 standby generation, dual UPS paths, integrated free cooling and duplicated hydraulic circuits - and NOS's chief technology officer Jorge Graca called it the most modern and efficient in Portugal on the day it opened. For Imopolis I, neither a floor area nor a load figure has been put out. Settle two points before signing here: which of the two halls an offer covers, and what any certification claim rests on, since neither building appears on the Uptime Institute's Portuguese register.
