Seven water-cooled data centre buildings are going up on 153 acres at the corner of Kentucky Springs Road and Haley Drive, near Mineral in Louisa County, alongside an administration building and two specialty halls. Construction began in mid-November 2024 under Clark Construction and has passed two million work hours; the first building is scheduled to open in August 2026 and the rest follow over three to four years. More than 1.7 million sq ft is planned. Power arrives through two substations built on the site itself, one Dominion Energy's and one Rappahannock Electric Cooperative's, each rated at 300 MW, against a disclosed campus minimum of 420 MW. Water is the harder problem: wells serve the ground now, and Louisa County is building a raw water line of eleven to twelve miles from Northeast Creek Reservoir for a January 2027 target, against an average draw of 630,000 gallons a day at full buildout. Amazon announced $11 billion for Louisa County in September 2023, covering this campus and North Creek.
