1649 Frankfort Road West, Carrollton, TX, 75007, US
CyrusOne DFW1 is a 600,000 sq ft, 45 MW data center at 1649 West Frankford Road in Carrollton, converted from a warehouse under a $22.8 million permit registered in February 2012. Its first data hall was finished in April 2013, and a July 2015 expansion added a hall of nearly 60,000 sq ft and 4.5 MW. Floors here carry 250 W per sq ft, expandable past 1,000 W per sq ft, on a 36-inch raised floor. Cooling runs on 160-ton direct evaporative units with DX backup, giving 80% free cooling with no water on the data floor. Eleven networks meet here, among them Cogent, Arelion, Zayo and Hurricane Electric, and both MegaIX Dallas and DE-CIX Dallas land in the building. DFW1 also houses the North Texas Emergency Communications Center 911 dispatch for four cities and has its own helicopter pad. Cabinets, cages and whole halls are sold here under a 100% uptime SLA.
