Albany is one of the ten sites in the TenPeaks network and the quietest of the company's four Auckland locations: Takanini in the south, Aotea in the centre and the North site each carry published detail, while the Rosedale-side Albany hall carries none, down to its street number. The company itself is new. TenPeaks Data Centres was cut out of Spark New Zealand at the end of January 2026, Pacific Equity Partners taking 75 per cent and Spark holding the remaining quarter, with an investment programme set out on 26 February 2026. Across the ten sites TenPeaks counts more than 2,500 racks. Its published engineering standard is alignment with TIA guidance rather than a certification held.

Frequently asked questions

Which company runs the Albany data centre now?
TenPeaks Data Centres, since the end of January 2026. Pacific Equity Partners holds 75 per cent of the business and Spark New Zealand the other 25 per cent; before that it was Spark's own data centre arm.
How many sites does the TenPeaks network cover?
Ten - four in Auckland including Albany, plus Hamilton, two in Wellington, two in Christchurch and Dunedin - carrying more than 2,500 racks between them.
What does TenPeaks publish about the Albany building?
Its existence and its city. Albany appears on the locations map under Auckland, while the detailed site pages cover Takanini, Aotea and North, so no floor area, power rating or street number is published for the hall itself.
How should the TIA wording on TenPeaks' material be read?
As an engineering reference. TenPeaks says its sites are aligned to TIA standards, which is a design statement rather than an award, and no Uptime Institute certification is registered to the company or to Spark before it.
