Hubbard is a small Hill County town roughly 70 miles south of Dallas, and the campus Nexus Data Centers is building there at 357 HCR 3372 is permitted for a single building of 491,380 sq ft - among the largest single-building data centre permits filed in Texas. The state registration, project TABS2026022673, sets construction between January 2026 and October 2027 at an estimated cost of $400 million, on a landholding of about 2,000 acres between Highway 171 and County Road 3369. Power is behind the meter: 600 MW of on-site natural gas generation with diesel backup, permits for both applied for after the proposal was put to a Hubbard public meeting in November 2025. That 600 MW is generation capacity rather than critical IT load. Water comes from an industrial-scale purchase agreement with AirJoule, whose atmospheric harvesting units are planned for deployment in the second half of 2026 and draw moisture from waste heat rather than municipal supply. No end customer has been named.
