1301 Fannin was designed by Morris-Aubry and completed in 1984 as a hardened banking data facility for the State of Texas and the Pulse Network, complete with a Federal Reserve vault, which makes it one of the few sites in the portfolio built for the job rather than converted to it. Netrality took it over in 2015 and expanded again in 2023 with two 17,000 sq ft halls adding more than 2.5 MW. It supports 30 kW and above per cabinet, the highest published density Netrality offers, and carries more than 53 unique on-net providers over 27 peering networks. Gulf Coast engineering shows throughout: 200 mph wind-rated windows, an 18-inch raised floor and a site outside the 500-year floodplain.
