Equinix SV16 is Pod B at 3000 Corvin Drive, Santa Clara, and the front door of the Corvin campus: main security is located here, and SV14 and SV15 customers park and check in on its east side. The single-storey steel-frame pod has 15,285 sq ft of colocation space, a 5 kVA minimum per cabinet, N+1 power, UPS and generators with 30+ hours of fuel at full load, and N+1 cooling with free cooling and hot/cold aisle containment. It is the only Corvin pod offering Secure Cabinet Express, Equinix's single-cabinet product, alongside private cages. Next door is SV17 (Pod A, 3030 Corvin Drive), which Equinix said in May 2021 it would leave when that lease ended; SV16 itself joined Equinix in the 1 May 2017 Verizon deal covering the former SJC3 campus. Combination-entrance mantraps, non-aspirated detection and pre-action suppression protect the floor, and Equinix Fabric, the Equinix Internet Exchange, Metro Connect and Fiber Connect are available on site.
