Volico's Atlanta colocation sits inside 55 Marietta Street NW, the 21-storey, 399,000 sq ft former Fulton National Bank tower that is downtown Atlanta's carrier hotel, where about 180,000 sq ft is let to technology tenants and 16 carriers. Conversion of the tower into a dedicated carrier hotel began in May 2011 with a new meet-me room and fiber backbone, and in April 2021 American Tower expanded its own floors here by 20,000 sq ft and 2 MW to 44,500 sq ft and 4 MW across floors two, five and eight. Volico's space runs N+1 in-room cooling, heat rejection and plant, with UPS in N+1 or 2N and DC power available, outside the 500-year floodplain. Entry needs photo ID at the lobby, a key card for the elevators and key card plus biometric hand scan at the data center door, with 90-day CCTV retention. Cabinets, cages and suites are sold with 24/7 on-site network engineers, roof rights and parking.
