Equinix NY7
5851 Westside Avenue, North Bergen, NJ, 07047, US
Equinix NY7 is the three-storey steel-frame data center at 5851 West Side Avenue, North Bergen, a stand-alone suburban IBX outside both the Secaucus campus and the Manhattan carrier hotels. Switch & Data opened its first phase in October 2008 in a building of more than 163,000 gross sq ft that had previously housed Sungard, and it came to Equinix when the Switch & Data acquisition closed on 3 May 2010. Today it offers 71,946 sq ft of colocation at a 4 kVA minimum cabinet density, with N+1 high-efficiency UPS and generators carrying 30 hours or more of fuel at full load, and N+2 cooling with hot/cold aisle containment and High-Density Cooling. Eighteen networks are present, with Equinix Internet Exchange New York and NetIX in the building, and AWS Direct Connect is accessible from NY7 through the Equinix NY5 location in Secaucus. Buyers take Secure Cabinet Express, private cages or Flex Space, with private on-site parking and showers for visiting engineers.
