COL1 is the first of three Cologix buildings on the nine-acre Scherers Court campus in Columbus, the densest interconnection point in central Ohio. More than forty-five unique networks sit in the Cologix-controlled meet-me room, reached through sixteen or more fiber entrances, with Ohio IX and FD-IX Ohio present. What makes the building unusual for retail colocation is density: cabinets are supported to 64 kW, and to 90 kW with purpose-built racks, against a campus utility service of 30 MW behind three diverse entrance feeds and seven days of on-site fuel at full load. Cooling runs 320 tons today and is engineered to 1,350, delivered through a raised-floor cold-air plenum with variable-speed 50-ton air handlers. A 150-seat emergency workspace makes the campus a practical business-continuity site rather than just a rack location. The site sits outside any floodplain, sixteen miles from John Glenn International.
