Power capacity
300 MW

Sentinel is developing a remediated Superfund site on Swedesford Road in East Whiteland Township, Chester County - 100 acres in the Malvern postal area, west of Philadelphia - for a 300 MW initial deployment with expansion to 600 MW pending. The application has been in front of the township since a preliminary land development submission on 10 November 2023, followed by final plans on 31 May 2024, an amended preliminary second submission on 29 January 2026 and preliminary and final land development plans dated 27 April 2026, with a municipal curative amendment running in parallel. EPA comfort letters, a soil management plan and an environmental health and safety plan are filed with it because of the ground's remediation history. Sentinel, a New York company, is working with the local developer Green Fig; East Whiteland's Board of Supervisors has issued its own public FAQ on the scheme in the face of organised resident opposition.
