About Equinix Bogota
Equinix Bogota is the former Bogota NAP, the Terremark-built exchange operated by Equinix since May 2017 via the Verizon acquisition, and Colombia's carrier-neutral peering point for the Andean region. The fabric runs in BG1 and BG2, sister buildings in Bogota's Zona Franca; BG2, built in 2023, was the first Equinix site in the Americas with Cool Array cooling. Domestic and regional networks form most of the 48 members (Aug 2026), while the port leaders are global: Starlink leads at 200G, with Hurricane Electric, Meta, Microsoft and Akamai at 100G. Ports are orderable at 1G, 10G and 100G, with a redundant MLPE route-server pair (AS24115) filtering on IRR and RPKI data. Colocation in BG1 or BG2 is the prerequisite; the port is then a Customer Portal order with cross-connect included.
