About 1-DE FREE

1-DE is the Frankfurt fabric in A-Systems' free exchange programme. The block 194.180.226.0/24 is split between two of the operator's fabrics: the lower quarter serves Frankfurt, the upper quarter serves Amsterdam. The two sit adjacent in numbering while remaining separate broadcast domains with their own IPv6 ranges and different frame sizes — 1500 bytes here against 9000 in Amsterdam. Frankfurt runs on 194.180.226.0/26 and 2001:7f8:135::/64. 20 networks connect over 21 ports for 2 Tbps across five Equinix buildings, at no charge for the port.
