About DINX
Durban's exchange started in September 2012 and is run by INX-ZA, an autonomous division of South Africa's ISP association, which also operates the Johannesburg, Cape Town and Nelson Mandela Bay fabrics. 99 networks connect at IS Umhlanga and Teraco Riverhorse Valley. DINX has its own peering LAN rather than sharing one with its siblings, and its prefixes carry AS0 RPKI ROAs. The operator runs public RPKI validators in Durban as well as Johannesburg and Cape Town. Route servers are offered at each of its exchanges, and onboarding runs through the operations desk.
