About GIXA

Ghana's exchange is an independent non-profit set up by the country's ISP association with other stakeholders, and the connected operators are described as its owners. It runs from the Ghana India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT in Accra. 23 networks peer there, including MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo, Glo and Vodacom alongside Google and China Telecom. Participation is not restricted to members of the ISP association. A route server answers on AS30997, and the member list separates route-server peers from customer ports.
